Credo che sia arrivato per tutti noi il momento di riflettere.
Voglio essere ottimista: le manifestazioni degli ultimi giorni contro le iniziative del Ministro della Pubblica Istruzione confermano che la dignita' ed il senso critico non sono stati seppelliti del tutto nel nostro Paese.
Ci sono nuove generazioni che tentano di reagire, che alimentano le speranze di una societa' che deve fare dello spirito critico, della liberta' di espressione, della lotta alla precarieta' culturale, sociale ed economica alla quale ci hanno costretto i nuovi strumenti di reazione.
Alcuni colleghi italiani come me all'estero mi hanno detto."Questa situazione e' quella che gli Italiani si meritano", "I nostri governanti sono lo specchio di noi stessi".
Io mi ostino a non persuadermi di cio'!E non credo che saranno le cariche di polizia a sotterrare l'intelligenza di migliaia di studenti e ricercatori fortemente consapevoli del disastro.Ripeto, voglio essere ottimista.
Un governo che usa la forza per reprimere ogni tentativo di dialogo e democrazia ha gia' mostrato la sua debolezza.
E morira', prima o poi.Forse facendo pagare un prezzo molto alto alle vittime del sistema, forse no.
Ma la certezza della morte e' qualcosa a cui ottimisticamente voglio credere.
Semplicemente perche' la storia ce lo ha gia' insegnato.
